Welcome to Chestnut Class

Chestnut class is a Key Stage Two class consisting of eight children.

Chestnut Class is a Key Stage 2 class made up of eight pupils in Years 3, 4, and 5.

In Chestnut Class, we believe that learning should be fun, meaningful, and hands-on. We love exploring new ideas, taking on exciting challenges, and learning in practical ways that help us understand the world around us. Every day is an opportunity to discover something new, whether through creative projects, problem-solving activities, or collaborating with our classmates. We follow an in-lesson timetable, ticking off each task as we complete it, with learning broken down into small, manageable steps.

We are also developing our independence skills by learning how to take responsibility for our own learning and choices. A big focus for us is understanding our emotions and using the right tools to help regulate them, especially when we need to take a break. Pupils in Chestnut Class are supported to stay calm, focused, and “ready to learn.”

We love exploring different places on the minibus, going swimming, and using our imaginations through play. Every day is an adventure, and we love learning, laughing, and supporting each other to make Chestnut Class a happy, welcoming place to learn and have fun!
